Josh Sproat is the “Policy Director” at Conservation Concepts, LLC. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Josh studied International Relations in Washington DC, and after teaching English in Cape Verde and Brazil spent several years in hospitality management. In 2013, Josh relocated to Miami, received an MBA from “The U”, and began a career in the solar energy industry.

In a variety of roles, Josh helped more than 200 Florida homeowners and businesses go solar, reducing emissions and increasing local resilience. In 2020, he pivoted to electoral politics and served as Campaign Manager for a successful Miami-Dade County Commission race. Josh is excited to join the Conservation Concepts team to bridge the gap between science and policy and fight for balanced, equitable solutions to Florida’s climate challenge.
